Message To Seller:
I got one of these screens before and the image looked washed out.. Does it need a polarized filter to see clear images? If so, do you have any polarized screen filters?

Message From Seller:
Hello, These should not need a polarizer they should already be installed. The only thing we can think of that would maybe was out the picture is the screen protector that is installed on the screen for shipping. That film can cause the image to look washed if not removed.

Message To Seller:
I am not using them in the original tablet, but using these as a desktop monitor using a LVDS driver board found on aliexpress. Yes, I peeled off the protective film. So, I am currently looking at a raw screen. (I tried every brightness and contrast setting and it still looks washed out..) That is why I am not sure if something like a polarized filter needs to be used..

The 30-pin connector on the driver board?
That's just a 2x15 pin header, but with a 2.00mm pitch.
IIRC
So a fair bit smaller than a 2.54mm (0.1'' pitch) pin header. There are some Pi o'scope projects I believe, yep. I have no idea if they are any good. Some might be using some slow ADCs which have very low bandwidth, so not super useful. I've also wanted for years to design my own o'scope. I think I could handle most of the GUI stuff. The main challenge is the analog frontend, and finding decent ADCs that don't cost too much.
A lot of o'scopes also tend to use LVDS (or at least some form of differential) output from the ADCs to the FPGA/ASIC, so that gets a bit more tricky to do.
(one problem is, ''LVDS'' is really just the voltage-level and differential standard. But ''LVDS'' on LCDs is it's own protocol as well.)
I'm always very wary of projects like this, which don't make it immediately obvious what the SPECS are. lol BitScope Raspberry Pi Oscilloscope | Test, Measurement and Data Acq... Programmable USB and Ethernet oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, generators and data acquisition for Raspberry Pi. It's like when browsing for an electronics gadget, but they don't give the damned PRICE. Literally the most important metric is price vs performance.
Oh, fair enough, it was on one of the first hyperlinks. BitScope Micro Model 5 | A tiny USB Mixed Signal Oscilloscope A tiny programmable dual channel real-time mixed signal USB oscilloscope and 8 channel logic analyzer for Linux, Windows and Mac OS/X.
20 MHz bandwidth isn't too bad. It's good enough for helping diagnose older retro consoles, for example.
But beware that most o'scopes consider that you need a sampling rate of around 5 times (or more) of the bandwidth. 40 Msps isn't really enough to get good captures at the full 20 MHz, AFAIK.
(if you're looking at say a 20 MHz clock signal, it's gonna start to alias and show weird stuff on the o'scope.) What I REALLY want, is a good Logic Analyzer with plenty of channels. This is by far the best I've seen...
CoLA But I think they used a 6-layer board, which gets expensive even on JLC. And now, of course, the Cyclone V chips are hard to get hold of. But up to 96 Channels capture, and streaming USB 3.0 direct to the PC. That's a lot.
I designed one very shortly before I saw the CoLA thing. Typical. lol
